Eustatiu Radulian
Eustatiu
(in the middle of the picture) is one of my great great
grandfathers. He was in the Great War. His position was a colonial. He was an infantry
man. Two of the battles he was in were Turtucaia and Marasesti .
In the battles he was injured seriously. After the war, he was
the Commander of the regal guard. This was for King Ferdinand
I, then
after that, for King Michael I, and then after that, for King Carol
the II. Before the war he was also Commander of the regal guard for King Carol
I. All
of the medals he earned, he buried in his backyard because of the communists. His
son, Nicoloe (the young man on the right side of the picture) was also in the war.
He was 17 at that time and he fought as a volunteer because he was
still in the
military academy.
